Photographer's Note
The Grampians Ranges (or Gariwerd in the local Aboriginal language) in western Victoria are well known for the flowers that proliferate there in spring. In this view near Reid Lookout (called Reed Lookout on some maps) we see a spectacular display of pink Kunzea and white Calytrix growing on a sunny and rocky hillside. These are just two of about 20 different species in flower in the area in November this year. I used a little HDR to liven up the photo.

Hello Vincent,
This looks so beautiful and so natural. The plants look like heathers but I am happy to be guided by your local knowledge. Is it buzzing with bees?
Besides having a fine exposure, the scene is very well composed, using the paths as effective guides into and across the scene.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Vince
Spring must come late in these high, semi alpine ranges in Western Victoria, another spot I would like to visit one day. The carpet of wildflowers looks magnificent. Tfs!
