Photographer's Note

I've searched the whole Trekearth for any photos taken from Waratah and there is none of it which surprised me. This was shot during my trip to Tasmania in November 2016 with my wife as we explored the smaller towns and villages. We came to this small town of Waratah and found out that it's relatively quiet, basically hardly see any vehicle moving or people walking around even during the day time. After read through some history behind this small town, its in fact has been town which has big impact to the whole of Australia. This town was a famous tin mining town during 1871 where the population is high and people come all around to mine but as of 20016 census, the population came about 227 only. Waratah was the first town in Australia to have electric street lights in 1886. The uniqueness about Waratah is that it has a natural waterfall that runs within this small town.
