I had trouble deciding which of the 3 photos today to have as the main one. I ended up deciding on this one as it shows more clearly why this peak is called the Pyramid. Chris had been wondering whether we climbed the peak but unfortunately the decision of whether to climb the very steep trail was taken from us as the track was closed.
The forest is a eucalypt one, very different to the rainforests of my previous Lamington NP series.
There's another big granite peak behind The Pyramid but it was hidden in low cloud when I took this photo. The 2 WS photos were taken later in the day when the cloud had lifted a bit. They show closer views of the 2 peaks.
