Photographer's Note

On Orthodox Christmas Eve, January 6, we like to keep things traditional, by having the bread with a cross, which is broken apart for each person in the family as well as the house (also a money coin inside for whoever finds it will have luck for the year), a candle, some small plants and just to the side you can see a 'table cover' with nice patterns that is usually put on a table when it is bare; my grandmother sewed it.

Also it should be noted that some Orthodox believers (at least what I know of in my country), like to do this tradition with the bread on January 13 I think, known as 'Vasilitsa', in the Orthodox calendar it is the Old New Year too.
