Photographer's Note

Inspired by delpeoples recent post of a sunset photograph at The Entrance I set out today to catch a sunset. However what I was aiming for and what I came home with are two very different things.
The Entrance is a coastal city which is the gate keeper of a large inland lake which communicates with the ocean. There are a large number of resident pelicans . Each day at 3.30 they have a pelican feeding session where wildlife rangers feed these beautiful birds for the public to watch. This fellow was watching the sun go down and it was difficult to exclude his close friends and family but I felt he gave the sunset an extra something and so I angled around behind him until he seemed to be alone. I am definitely not a wildlife photographer but it was a real pleasure to share this fellows sunset.
