Photographer's Note

The facade of the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney is nice, but the inside is really beautiful with all its details, stained-glass windows and Byzantine arches.

During the 90-ies of the 19th century Sydney's largest market was held in this building. Nearly 100 years later the building which occupies an entire block in Sydney, was renovated and now hosts some of Sydney's most stylish shops. According to fashionguru Pierre Cardin is the most beautiful shopping centre in the world .

What I like about this photo is the large clockwork hanging on the ceiling (there are two of these large clocks in the building), all the details and the fact your able to see both basement and the "open" roof allowing the daylight to come into the building all the way to the basement.

I sharpened the photo a little after resizing it.
