After taking the sunset photos of The Wall in Mungo NP (posted the last 2 days) we turned around to walk back along the track back to our car only to be faced with this brilliant sunset view to the west.
I don't normally go for sunsets unless there is some other feature but thought I'd share this one of the after sunset glow over the very flat and dark dry lake bed with its low vegetation.
This is one where you will definitely see much more in the large view.

Hi Ian.
A worth attention, beautiful moment of the red finished horizon at the end of the day, why not to take the memory back home?
Your capture is anyway different from the sunsets most of us take at the water level, here instead we see the plain, dry soil landscape, a nice combination with the colours in the sky. TFS!!!

Bonjour, cher Ian,
Il faut rendre grâce à la nature de nous offrir un si beau coucher de soleil avec ce ciel orangé griffé de petites strates nuageuses.
Très belle réalisation.
Amitiés.

Hello Ian, Rather a minimalistic composition, with the flat desert area and the orange sky, but still impressive. Thne colours are fantastic.

Hello Ian,
The colours are fantastic but it's mainly the small clouds that make this an interesting photo.

Hello Ian,
What I miss from here are two cowboys walking into the sunset as the end of a Western! :)

Hi Ian,
The wideness of the area is creating depth. The point of view is showing some details of the vegetation. The sunset is giving beautiful colours to the sky. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
That's a brilliant sunset - the sort you get in arid parts of Australia. It has an elegant simplicity, but the clouds give it an extra interest. A good example of the great expanse of nothingness that is the western plains of NSW.

Hi Ian,
yes it is very impressive indeed.
The colors of the sky are amazing. Nice that you had also a tiny cloud to decorate the sky a bit.
So simple and yet very eye catching.
Excellent work,

Hello Ian,
Amazing sunset photo with fantastic colours in the sky, which make a great contrast with the vast dark fields in the foreground. Also the strip of darker clouds add interest to the sky. Well done.

Ian, this sunset has a wonderful ochre color. The picture has an excellent depth, there are no trees or relief to hide the spectacle. This flat land in the outback is covered with low vegetation. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi Ian,
Beautiful red sky just after sunset. Dry terrain looks almost grey against the saturated sky. Red on the clouds is wonderful too.

Hello Ian,
I prefer to see mountain landscapes than very flat ones but this one here looks truly magnificent.
Dry hard plants as far as we can see under a wonderful red sky.
The long cloud parallel to the horizon is a splendid element of the picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian,
There's so much open space. I feel like running into the frame, and then running across the open land. :-) The colors are really spectacular here, and those thin clouds add an extra bit of interest to the scene. Take care!

Hello Ian,
Where is the sun gone? Gone hiding under the dark dry lake bursting out the ray of golden glow on the horizon reflected on the clouds beneath. Too bad the vegetation lost the glowing ray.
This is a stunning sunset , as far as eye can see. It's all about the Earth and the universe beyond the sky.
Thanks for sharing.
Loong
