Photographer's Note
The final photo in my back roads series isn't strictly on a back road but it is away from the main highway. Leeton (population 11,000) is in the centre of a major irrigation area (rice, wine, citrus) and was built 100 years ago as the irrigation headquarters.
Because ofthe era it landed up with lots of art deco buildings including the old cinema and even the war memorial in this photo.
Best in the large view.

Hello Ian,
This looks like you were back in civilization. The Roxy building and the war memorial are both quite magnificent. According to the internet the Roxy today (Saturday) showed "Annabelle comes home". Maybe some young Leetonians got scared. I'm just happy with a nice photo.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,this village is very big comparing the others of your last uploads..ehhee...the typical war memorial that we can found everywhere in the world and a perfect watch on theatre too, that seems old but still working. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Indeed, this square looks like it has been moved to our time from the Art Deco era, for the small town it seems to be a culture centre and a meeting place

Hello Ian,
A very good composition with the juxtaposition of the clock and memorial and the theatre. I really like the Art Deco details of the building. The light was most pleasant as well.

Hello Ian
An intriguing photo with this beautiful art deco building that has been converted into a Roxy theatre. The screaming neon signs on the roof are a misguided addition to the architecture.
The war memorial is also a striking element in the photo.
Well done!
Have a good week, groet Rob

Hi Ian,
quite an interesting contrast of the entertainment temple and the war memorial next to it.
I think ROXY was one of the most famous clubs in LA as well.
Nice architecture and well photographed with darker clouds as a background.
Great reportage,

Hi Ian,
It is quite amazing that such buildings can be found on small town of NSW. Very stylish theatre, and the memorial is impressive too.

Hi Ian
I knew I enjoyed this photo when I viewed it a couple days ago, wanted to make sure I got back to it now. We have a famous "ROXY" here in Vancouver - not quite like this one though haha.
Our roxy is a popular night club for dancing and meeting women. its also popular with professional sports athletes etc...its got quite the reputation. This roxy, not the same, but I think I like it more :) What a beautiful art deco building, striking! love it. cheers

Hello, Ian!
The architecture looks very different and beautiful, I espeacially like this clock tower on the left! In spite of the bad weather, you captured the scene with very good colors! Wonderful job!
