Farm worker's cottage, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

Yanga National Park, near Balranald in western New South Wales, is an old sheep station. This battered old cottage would have provided accommodation for farm workers.
Where I live the temprature today is around 30°. Looking at the current temperatures for Balranald the temperature there is currently 41° (at 11:30am) and is expected to reach around 46° this afternoon.
Can you imagine living in this cottage which would have been unlined in temperatures like today? At least there is a big old tree providing some shade.

I read in your reply that more tha 40° in Australia, here frost with snow.
The black and white suitable perfect to the old house.

Un cadrage classique mais toujours efficace. Un cadrage serré sur la galerie et une belle utilisation du noir et blanc qui donne un côté vintage à l'ensemble.

awesome subject, its important to keep the memory of these old places alive and well. I'd also be interested in seeing the color version. I couldn't imagine sitting in a leather chair in that heat! Looks like the door is open, did you go inside? the exterior is actually holding up pretty good, at least from this angle anyways. very cool indeed. cheers
