Down at the edge of Willow Lake I looked up and saw this pine seemingly blown by the contrail far above. It shows how, even in the most inhospitable of locations, life can take root and thrive.

Taken in color, I opted for monochrome when editing as it felt more appropriate.

ISO 200, f/20 at 1/200 second, 120mm focal length
