Photographer's Note

Woodland is a small area not far from the resort of Park City. It is in small valley with a steep forrested hill to the south.

This pasture was illuminated by direct sun, and the new light grean leaves on the aspens were very illuminated. The hill in the back was still shaded and the larger trees, elms, box elders and maples didn't have their leaves yet.

I wanted to keep the leaves on the aspens just at the threshold of white, showing thier bright reflections. I exposed to put this area at zone 7, and hoped for the best.

The image wants the darker areas burned down a bit in the print just enough to reduce anoying detail.

This calm pasture has now turned into something of a ranch or personal resort.
