Photographer's Note

I hope that I don't bore you with another statue of a Mexican national hero. But, like with Emiliano Zapata, I was surprised to see this statue of Benito Juárez, precisely in downtown of San Diego, California, USA, in Pantoja Park, bounded by Kettner Blvd, E St, State St and G St (see satellite view).
Pablo Benito Juárez García (1806-1872) is the greatest hero of Mexico. He served five terms as President. Benito Juárez was the first indigenous (a Zapotec) Mexican to serve as President.
