Photographer's Note
Tufa Towers are composed of calcium carbonate, CaCO3, better known as limestone. The photo was taken from my kayak at the South Tufa Area in Mono Lake.
The Tufa are favorite nesting spots for some migratory birds. I cropped and sharpened the photo.

Hi Gary,
Wonderful color & detail in this great Mono Lake photo; the gulls make the photo unique. Since we're having a TE meeting in this area the first weekend in in June, we're doing a theme about the area to let people know what's there to photograph. Hope to see you there to share some of your favorite spots to photograph.
Wishing you Health, Love & Joy (HLJ) in the New Year, Pat
