Photographer's Note
This is the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by the German team of Mike Rockenfeller and Klaus Graf at the recent Utah Grand Prix at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RSR competes in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series along with Ferrari, BMW, Panoz and Lexus teams. This particular car finished 4th in it's class on the day, on the same lap as the Ferrari.
Taken at the end of the 3500' front straight, just as the car is braking hard, ready to enter the front turn. I shot wide open, f/2.8 wanting to get the maximum shutter speed to try and 'freeze' the action. The lens did a remarkable job in capturing all of the detail in 1/3200th of a second.
