Photographer's Note
Denton Arts Fest: 1
I had to get out of the house and go shot some pictures and I knew of a local arts fair going on, so I tried to find some fun.
This shot made me laugh because of the girl's interested look at the artist here, and not nessesarily the art.
I tried to create the compostion here that would attract the viewer's eyes to the girl giving the glance. I put the diagonals of the orange sculpture to lead the eyes to the top part of the shot. then that upper triangle is sort of a frame to keep your eyes there. I don't know if it worked, let me know.

Hey there,
I like your way of reading a moment. Your titles are very appropriate. Your colors here and composition draw the eye in. Only thing I would like is to see a bit more on the right hand side. Bring the girl's gaze into the composition a bit more.
Cheers,
Sherry

Gotta love the expression of the lady on the far right: is she impressed/moved by the art or by the guy's earings??? The color scheme and the contrast is really interesting, there is something about it that grabs and holds my attention.

I think your composition does work to some degree in the desired way but I agree that the framing is a little squashed - there could do with being just a little more space around ther girl for sure - I think she's actually in this moment looking at you - so maybe you are more interesting than the art or the artist!!! It's a shame about the guys in the background the 'messiness' of the overlaps and emerging heads takes away from the clarity of the image - it's what larger apertures are for - if the people have to be there create the bokeh that makes them less distracting.
I have a real thing about the effects of primary colours in images and of how the relationships between them tends to dominate the way in which the eye moves in an image - here they take away a little from what you want us to see but because of the strength of human interest the eye does go beyond the forms to follow our natural curiousity about people.
Good to see how you are thinking compositionally though.
best wishes kev
