Photographer's Note

I'm joking with the title, of course. This grandmother was very loving and attentive to her granddaughter who occupies the swing in this photo. I was really interested in taking a photo of the grandmother and wasn't much thinking about the girl on the swing, at least at the moment I raised my camera. I loved the hat the woman wore, the stylish outfit, the lovely skin so beautifully showing the signs of aging. But then the swing came back and the woman leaned forward to give the girl a gentle push. I snapped the photo and this is what we have... arms extended, fingers delicately touching the girl's bottom, wrinkled hands above the smooth skin of a young girl's foot. This is how life moves from generation to generation, lubricated as always by love. Enjoy!
