Photographer's Note

Mono lake located on Highway 395, near the town of Lee Vining and Yosemite national park's Entrance, Highway 120.
A majestic body of water about 65 square miles about 1 million years old.
Water entering this lake from streams and evaporate from the lake left the salts and minerals behind. This lake is now 2 1/2 times as salty and 80 times as alkaline as the ocean.
This Area of the lake is called South Tufa Reserve. Here views of the Tufa towers are most spectacular.
This Picture was stitched with 4 shots and Autostitch software.
