Photographer's Note

Windhover (Grand) Reception Hall of the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) designed by Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. The Quadracci Pavilion of the MAM, is the first Calatrava-designed building in the United States, and features a 90-foot high glass-walled reception hall enclosed by the Burke Brise Soleil, a wing-like sunscreen that can be raised or lowered creating a unique moving sculpture. Time magazine named the museum as Best Design of 2001. This reception hall has magnificent views of Lake Michigan.
