Photographer's Note

Recently I visited Hudson Yards on the west side of Manhattan. It consists of residential, office, and retail space. There is also a lot of public art. In one of the office towers you can find the work of Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. It’s called “Voices”, and it’s made up of eleven stainless steel sculptures. Here are a few of them.

Each of the large spheres contains letters from eight different alphabets. Plensa wanted to pay tribute to cultural diversity while also urging unity.

This lobby space is very impressive, with artistic walls and ceilings in addition to Plensa’s sculptures. When you exit this building, behind where I was standing, you are very close to the famous structure called the Vessel.
