Photographer's Note

The end of summer is quickly approaching, and soon most of Coney Island will shut down until next May. Of course the beach will still be there, but the rides and boardwalk shops will close for fall and winter.

I prefer strolling down the boardwalk when the weather is not so hot, and there’s a nice breeze coming off the Atlantic Ocean. On the boardwalk itself, there are traditional foods to enjoy: hot dogs and fries at Nathan’s Famous, pizza at Famiglia’s Pizzeria, a bit of everything, including clams, cotton candy, and Brooklyn lager at Paul’s Daughter. Then there’s ice cream at Coney’s Cones. The door made a nice palette for some boardwalk and beach reflections.

In the WS is a wider view of this shop, and the pizzeria.

Enjoy the end of summer everyone! :-)
