Photographer's Note
Not a pyramid from Egypt but a closer view of the Transamerica Building in San Francisco, California, USA. This iconic skyscraper is well known on TE, but I hope this monochrome view shows some its finer details a bit differently, especially if you view the larger version!

Hello Brian,
I wonder if this was the inspiration for the Pyramid at the Louvre, or perhaps the other way around; the same geometric lines are in evidence with the repeating rectangles. Looks superb here in black and white. A very well composed image with wonderful detail and graphical lines; fascinating stuff.

Ciao Brian
Straordinario
Ciao e buona giornata

This here is really similar to the Egyptian pyramid, you have chosen two colors and it helps us to concentrate on the shapes and graphic values of this building, compliments

Hello Brian,
Very impressive point of view, giving this building a pyramid-like appearance. You have really shown this strong, imposing structure in a dyamic and spectacular way and managed the light perfectly. The black and white was an effective choice. Congratulations !

Hi Brian,
A novel idea, and it's worked well. It creates a feeling of some dystopian future and the kind of building I guess the ministry for destroying imagination would be housed in :) very unique, and the white building on black sky looks superbl beautiful candidate to change to mono.
Cheers

Hi Brian
Oh I remember this place very well....one of my favorite buildings in SF.
I like that you highlighted the part of the tower with the extra piece on it, just to give it more dimension i suppose.
love the black bg, and the cubed look it now has.
fun shot...now I want to post a shot from SF :)
cheers

What's new BDee,
How are you my good man? Loving the simplicity and visual impact of this result, a great way to put a new spin on this well known building. I was just looking over some of my SF pics and was thinking of something like this...and now I have even more inspiration to try out the effect! :) Another sweet result from the brainchild of your skills....this timed harnessed for the powers of good. :p Hope you've been keeping yourself out of trouble. I may have been absent for a while now, but I'm still following along...keep 'em coming mate! Take it easy.
Cheers from the sunny side,
The Pharaoh

Hello Brian,
Bears a striking resemblance to the Shard Tower in London! I've been to both. Because of earthquakes there aren't that many skyscrapers in San Francisco compared to Sydney or NYC. So the ones they do have tend to stand out. I like the graphism emphasised by the b&w rendition depicted here. Good sharpness and excellent repetition of patterns and shapes. I like the unusual strut on the left side of the building. Tfs!
