Photographer's Note

Massive Goat Rock is an outcrop of California's Sonoma Coast, barely attached to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. The beach north of Goat Rock is named Goat Rock Beach, and south is Blind Beach. The beaches are regular resting ground for seagulls, sea otters, elephant seals, harbor seals, harbor seals, and sea lions. The state of California recommends visitors keep a 46 meter distance away from the seasonal mammals.
Goat Rock is located off Highway 1 near the mouth of the Russian River and Highway 116.
