Photographer's Note

The Tempe Arts Festival is held twice a year, and I’ve always made it a point to attend for the sake of checking out the photographers stalls. I mention the frequency, because it’s about the only time I’ll travel a good 45 minutes to get there from my place…plus, it’s held over a weekend, so there’s no rush to be anywhere else. :)

I thought I’d take the concept of “photographing the photographer” in a different manner, this one without a camera or tripod in sight. Our fellow picture taker is the gentleman in the orange shirt, to the right, in front of his postcard stand.

For many years of attending this festival, I had wanted to be like so many of these other shutterbugs, many times even asking them if they needed an apprentice. About a year or so ago, my mindset changed…I didn’t want to be like them, I wanted to be like ME. Now, if I could just figure out what that's all about, I’d be in great shape. lol

Anyway, I thought this was a bit like peering through the looking glass, and at the same time catching a corner of the festivals attractions.

Thanks for stopping by.
