Photographer's Note

California being the third largest state out of 50 within the U.S. of A., has perhaps the most diverse populations and scenery. An example of the diversity, comparing this spot with the mega cities in SoCal and the Frisco Bay areas, is the opposite of the spectrum.
The 200 resident Sierraville's Martinelli Ranch is representative of the Gold period for California. Located in north/east California above Lake Tahoe, in Sierraville with rural highway 89 running south to north, this ranch existed to raise cattle, providing dairy products and beef for the gold and silver mining communities even as far away as the Comstock Lode in the State of Nevada. Today the mega corporate cattle yards have dominated, reducing the effectiveness of the classical cattle ranches.

Sierraville notoriously has the only traffic signal in the entire County of Sierra, which is amazing.

In this view, is the Martinelli ranch home surrounded by mature cottonwood trees in their autumn splendor.
