This is one of the most spectacular nature wonders of the world - Niagara Falls in North America shared by US and Canada located in such a beautiful sight, only the Victoria Falls in Africa are larger. The Niagara Falls on the Niagara River, are actually three separate waterfalls; The American Falls, the smaller Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side in the further distance of picture.

Shot taken from the Observation Tower, the best vantage point to enjoy the awe-inspiring view and to really feel the force of the enormous quantity of water rushing over the edge, dropping down, pushed by relentless forces of the flow and the terrific energy. The constant companion of the ever present mist rises from the base of the Falls where the Niagara River completes its 53 meters plunge and carries on along its natural path.

The Maid of the Mist is a boat providing daily tours that ventures close into the heart of the Falls, is seen stemming against the gushing river heading towards the Horseshoe Falls. The high rise buildings to the right of picture are in Ontario, Canada.
