Photographer's Note

A fine time to visit California's 'GOLD COUNTRY' is Spring. Highway 49 meanders and flows through the Gold Rush countryside, the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Mighty mountain rivers carve the mountains and hills and end up in the San Joaquin Valley.

Wildflowers, fruit trees and bulb plants put on a flowery display in Spring. This view is Daffodil Hill, in Amador County, near numerous mining towns -Jackson, Sutter Creek, Dry Town, Fiddletown, Angel Camp, San Andreas, etc.....
