Photographer's Note

Heading back to New York for a photo or two.

This was taken on our first night in the Big Apple, around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. It was raining hard outside, it was cold, it was miserable, but we didn't want that to ruin our first experience in the large city.

This is taken in Times Square, as you can see, its almost void of people, except for a few in the bottom, one of which is twirling an umbrella. It was so empty here this evening because of the heavy heavy rainfall. And of course I had my tripod with me :)

You can also see a small pile of garbage...that was new and surprising to me about New York City. At night, you'll find garbages laying around all over the city sidewalks, and early in the morning its picked up. Its not like that here in Vancouver, we thought that was very interesting, seeing hundreds of piles/bags of garbage everynight all over the city - yet its very clean as its picked up promptly.

Hope you enjoy the view.
