Photographer's Note

It is interesting when you visit the famous Old Faithful geyser in Yellowstone. There are masses of crowds (and plenty of tour coaches) waiting for Old Faithful to do its spectacular performance. What really intrigued us was that as soon as it had done its bit most of those watching departed the area heading for cars and coaches.
The result was that when we headed off around the nearby area there were only small numbers of people. We thought that the other nearby features were probably more interesting with the amazing colour of the pools and in the case of this photo a bluish mini-geyser.
We were glad of the smaller numbers!
