Photographer's Note

Once upon a time I actually went on trips without planning out where I would be for sunrise and sunset. This trip to Grand Teton National Park may have been the last such trip. I was on my way to the campground when the sun started to set, and I realized I was nowhere near anything remotely scenic.

Eventually a clearing came in the trees, and I got out of the car and started snapping pictures right at the height of the sunset. It was a beautiful sunset, but how much more beautiful could it have been if I'd had Jenny Lake or Jackson Lake in front of me?

Another archive shot. I've got lots of pictures of Great Smoky Mountains and Mexico, but for now I feel like going through the archives.
