Photographer's Note
This is the northeast side of Mount Rainier from Burroughs Mountain. Burroughs Mountain undulates upward in the direction of Mount Rainier with three peaks, Burroughs "1", "2" and "3". Burroughs 1 is a fairly easy ascent afterwhich he trail dips into a saddle then rises to Burroughs 2, drops deeper into a glacier basin then up steeply to Burroughs 3 from where this image was captured. Returning hikers must repeat ascent on peaks 2 and 1 for a long day of hiking and climbing.
