Photographer's Note

The EMP museum is next to the Space Needle in Seattle. The building is as fascinating outside as it is inside. The museum is dedicated to contemporary popular culture. For example, there are areas devoted to the works of Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix. There are interactive activities in a sound lab and stage, and it houses one of the largest LED screens in the world. The building was designed by Frank Gehry and founded by Paul Allen in 2000 (co-founder of Microsoft). The Seattle monorail goes through the building. The various surfaces of the building catch the light in a very beautiful way. The picture shows a detail of the roof of the monorail.
