Photographer's Note
Another one from the ferry between Port Angeles, WA and Victoria, BC. Actually the ferry didn't leave the port yet, the black line on the horizon is the lengthy breakwater of Port Angeles, called Ediz Hook.
I shot this picture simply because of the light and resisted to push contrast too much in PP as I think the softness is an essential attribute of it. On a second though, I may have pushed it already too far..

Less is more as they say. Great shot, almost abstract. The light and all the shades of grey, it needs no more.

Adrian,
Looks about right to my eye - though soft grey is never gpoing to win a popularity contest - but you knew that already. High drama has an immediate and temporary appeal - this could live on a wall in a much visited room for years, gently pleasing and softening an over-active mind.
See you 'round.

Another nice shot that is a tribute to simplicity. I wonder if a longer exposure time would have been better to get the softness you were looking for.

A quiet photo, containing peace. It could be hung and enjoyed for years as the more I look a it, the more there is to see.

Lois
