Photographer's Note
Now to contrast the visit to the Tetons, I went to the Bonneville Salt Flats outside of Wendover Utah on the Utah/Nevada border. A great challenge to photograph this place. While looking for places to set up, I noticed this lamp and chair with no one around. I said "well hello my friends" Props for the occasion.
The Salt Flats are related to the Great Salt Lake which still exists outside of Salt Lake Utah. This vast area contains so much salt that plant life cannot grow. An almost moonscape on Planet Earth.

Hello Jimmy,
This has a touch of surrealism. We can't help wondering what those items were doing there, and where are the footprints of whoever brought them here? This scenery as such is worth a photo, and with such props you can't fail. Especially not with this great light.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Jimmy
Quite a cool (hot) setting for a hot (cool) photo shoot, props kindly left behind by a previous photographer, it seems. Let's just hope that this won't become a trend, we wouldn't want too many objects left behind here, would we?

Hello Jimmy, a surreal picture; it makes me wonder how far someone has carried these objects and deposited them here.
We have a very clear view of the surface of the Salt Flats with its crazy paving pattern.
I love the shadow of the lamp.
I notice that there are vehicles in the far distance.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Jimmy,
This has to be one of the best photographs today!
The landscape of natural tiles is just amazing, its vastness accentuated by your composition.
Now why would those props be there!
I can think of no explanation that is satisfactory!
However, for you, they are perfect for some quite original art!
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hi Jimmy
Strange encounter, is this a theater scene, or a way to sell old things! I really like this unreal scene!

Hello Jimmy!
This is surrealism at its very best - absolutely queer! I would have doubted your mental sanity if you had NOT taken advantage of what you found. But you did...
Have a nice weekend!

Hello Jimmy
The late Salvador Dali would have give you hundred points for this surrealistic picture that matches his extravagant works!!
I like so much this view on fantasia, so well captured for a riveting impact!
Congratulations.

Bonjour, cher Jimmy,
Cet immense lac salé avec ces objets hétéroclites est parfaitement mis en valeur.
Le sol s'apparente à un carrelage en opus incertum.
Une composition très originale, bravo !
Amitiés.

Hi Jimmy,
this is such a great scene!
First of all I love the landscape. Since I spent a couple of years in California I learned to appreciate and enjoy desert landscapes. I miss it now. In Death Valley you could find places similar to this but different.
I have never heard about this place. I have to write it down for the future.
The presence of the chair and lamp adds a funny contrasting touch.
Excellent work!!

Hi Jimmy,
A great surrealist photo, especially as you found it by chance. The vast expanse of the lake is evident here, and the pattern of the salt polygons is intriguing, giving a good sense of depth. Nice mountains on the horizon too.

Hello Jimmy,
This so excellent that I had to fave it immediately. Now, that's what I call a chair with a view. Or a COVID proof working space.
I have received your WS version under my photo. As you noticed, its a matter of taste. I respect your pick of processing - its good in its own -, but somehow I like my own processing with the fifty, sorry infinite shades of gray. In my believe World is not black or white, but gray. Beyond recovery.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hi Jimmy, perfect, just perfect, very surreal. So lucky that the odd bits of furniture were there. Well seen and executed. Cheers, Steve
