Photographer's Note

You may be getting tired of my pictures from the High Uintas here in Utah. I just spent three days backpacking there and have more pictures of this beautiful area.

This is another small pond, probably from snow melt and rain, with Mt. Watson in the background. The view from here was spectacular. This shot was taken at about 10500 ft in elevation with a beautiful sky. Later in the day we were treated with hail and then rain for 6 and a half hours.

The trail head is about a half hour from the town of Kamas, and this point is probably still an easy day hike from the trail head.

I wanted to backpack up here to explore the area more completely. There are lots of lakes and ponds and streams. Even though we are well into July the area is still very wet and green.
