Photographer's Note

The Pittock mansion was built in 1914 by Henry Pittock, founder of the Oregonian newspaper, which is till today the most popular news paper in Portland / Oregon. The mansion was unoccupied for years and fell into disrepair. Later it was restored, and turned into a park. Now this mansion is one of the attractions that Portland has to offer. It has a large beautiful garden, located uphill and from which you can see a great view of Portland downtown.

I liked the texture and the curves of the mansion pole and it’s base.
Mental exercise: Can you imagine the mansion that has such nice pole?
