Photographer's Note

It's Blossom Festival time in Oregon's Hood River Valley. Two Cascade peaks overlook this valley. This is Mt Adams in the state of Washington. While it is taller (at 12,276 feet) than Oregon's Mt Hood, it doesn't get the press because many of Washington's Cascade peaks are taller; :ike Mt Ranier's 14,410 ft. I think I's also because Mt Hood (Oregon's tallest cascade at 11,237 feet) has a more Matterhorn-like shape.
