Photographer's Note

This church was made famous by the painter Georgia O'Keefe. It's made of adobe (dried earth) bricks and plastered and painted, same as the local Pueblo Indians built their villages. The shapes and earth tones were inspired by and blend in nicely with the desert environment of New Mexico's landscape.
