Photographer's Note
This is an older shot I took back in 2013, during one of my many trips to Las Vegas.
I've posted a similar one before, but I thought why not show something like it again. This time in Blue.
You're looking at the escalator leading to the entrance to the Bally Hotel. The Vegas strip is famous for a lot of things, but one lesser known fact is just how quickly it changes. You can no longer get this photo because the escalator is gone.
I've been to Vegas anywhere from 9-11 times, I have lost count exactly, but each time I go there's new construction, and its always changing. From where I live, its only a 2 hour flight and its very inexpensive, that's why I've been there so many times.
Anyways, I hope you like this Tripod shot, there's another in the WS that maybe I should have posted as the main, but it doesn't matter. The exposure time is 2 seconds.

Hi Craig
9-11 visits to Las Vegas - oh dear. I carefully avoided it when I was in the region.
That said I do like these photos with the good movement.
cheers

Hi Craig
I have only had the one visit to Las Vegas in 2008, so lots of changes since then. It is far more attractive from a photographic pov, especially at night and blue hour or sunset. Good perspective and sharpness and it seems the pedestrians are impatient to get to the slots as they are motion blurred. Tfs!

Hello Craig, both shots are excellent; this one is striking because of the symmetrical composition.
Whereas the colours in the workshop are slightly different.
This has become archive material as you say the escalator has gone!
The blurred people add to the scene.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Craig,
Basically the photos look the same, but the WS has warmer tones and a greater variety of colours and more ghosts closer to the camera. There's even a ghost in red. But it doesn't really matter which one we look at first. They both have a fine symmetry and great depth.
I am not particularly interested in the USA at all, but the last place I could imagine seeing would be Las Vegas. How different we are. ;-)
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Craig,
A superb photojob on the pedestrian escalator with exceptional clarity and a sense of depth.
The colors changing, I reckon from the WS attached.
Cool stuff, cheers.
Have a nice new week,

Hello Craig,
I've no idea whether I would enjoy Las Vegas, apart from the photo opportunities of course.
Magnificent picture that would suit a movie set in the future.
Nicely symmetrical.
Excellent perspective.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Craig
A pair of amazing images, the colours are fantastic and it's fabulous that they change so you can kind of choose the one you want in your photo or capture a serious of different pics. The combination of blue and gold here is truly compelling. I bet you were glad you brought your tripod, these blurred people wouldn't look anywhere as good in a hand-held, high ISO shot.
This goes to my favs of course!
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Craig,
The suite of rings is giving dynamism to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the escalator and of the rings. The 2 seconds exposure time has a special effect on the colors. Well done, have a nice day.

Hi Craig,
A nice symmetrical photo with great graphism. I like the clean lines and curves, and the blue colour scheme is pleasing to the eye. It has a bit of a sci-fi look to it.

Hello Mac
I like the view of this escalator. I have not been on the strip since 1997. I still fly through a couple of times a year. Just never leave the gate area. An extreme futuristic type feel here. Nice

Hi Craig,
Lit circles give this quite a bit of scifi look. It is a wonderful shot and use of tripod was essential on success. Motion blur of people gives almost magical feeling to this.

Hello Craig,
Wow, a great and futuristic-looking shot from Vegas. The tunnel and escalator are lit beautifully with a great mix of warm tones and some blue parts. Great sharpness combined with a nice motion blur for the people.

Hello Craig,
Terrific shot, which works like a magnet for my sight. It zooms it in. The motion blur of the people also helps to enhance the compositon.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Craig,
This is amazing!
With a special eye for composition, you have turned an everyday scene into one rich in patterns and colours!
You have created a linear perspective which draws us in, like the centre of a dartboard!
Thanks for sharing this,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig,
It seems like I'm about to enter a space ship. I hope it's not the one from that Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man". have you seen it? :-) I like the blur of the people moving through those futuristic rings. Great symmetry and focus, too. I hope all is well. Take care!

Hi Craig,
very well spotted composition. The geometry is stunning and the final effect slightly confusing at first, which is a sign of a great creative composition. Presence of the moving people and the plants as well brings in a reality touch.
Great perspective.
Excellent work,
M
