Photographer's Note

It only took me a short, 51 minute flight to get from Phoenix to Paris…which is still hard to believe, considering all of the other times it’s taken about 14 hours!? :)

Many have commented on the miniature world that exists here, and Serghei recently mentioned one icon in particular: “Just impressive architecture! If you have got money you can get copies of an every palace of the world ;) And the Eiffel Tower, no doubt.”

And would you look here, it really does exist in the desert…along with parts of The Bellagio, City Center, Bally’s and many others further in the distance.

As cliché as it may be, I just couldn’t resist a shot of The Strip, the most famous and well known part of the city. This is looking westward at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo, on a pedestrian overpass in front of Caesars Palace. Not the most inspired shot, but the best one that could be taken from this bridge without having a wall of smudged plexiglass in front of me. Plus, I thought it was a good opportunity to see The Strip in a non-traditional setting…that being during the day. It takes on an entirely different look and feel when the sun goes down and the lights come up. Welcome to Sin City.

Thanks for stopping by.
