Brain Waves

More art from Idaho. The biggest surprise in Boise was definitely Freak Alley, which we more or less discovered accidentally. It’s the largest outdoor gallery in the north-western United States and is located in a service alley, which is completely covered with all kinds of murals. Freak Alley was established in 2002 and the murals are painted over and replaced every two years. More than 200 artists have contributed to the art in Freak Alley.

Of course we took lots of photos here, this one offers a good overview of the different styles that Freak Alley has to offer.
