Photographer's Note

I visited Missouri ship in Oahu Pearl Harbor.
I hate war and I hope peace will come back as soon as possible.
I looked at this place as at a memory of war disasters, not as at a proud army story.

From the website:

The USS Missouri is known as the "Mighty Mo" to many who served on her and was the last of the great battleships to be completed by the US Navy.
The Mighty Mo was the last active battleship in any navy in the world.
It was on board the 01 veranda deck of the Missouri that General Douglas MacArthur and Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz, along with other US and Allied officers, accepted the unconditional surrender of the Japanese at the end of World War II.
The Surrender Plaque's wording is: USS Missouri. Over this spot on 2 September 1945 the instrument of formal surrender of Japan to the allied powers was signed thus bringing to a close the second world war. The ship at that time was at anchor in Tokyo Bay. Latitude 35 21' 17" North. Longitude 139 45' 36" East.
