Photographer's Note
Club Lanai is an abadoned day club for ocean activities that used to exist on the eastern coast of the island of Lanai. Peacocks, sort of tamed, used to be a part of the clubs grounds for the visitors to enjoy. The club has since fallen into disrepair, and since it is in a remote area, the peacocks were left to the wild. Today, they still live there, as scavengers, looking for handouts from whoever might be in the area.
I like the red volcanic dirt (red due to the high iron content) against the blue-green of the feathers.

I am a beef lover but the picture is great. I like the contrast in between colorful bird and the ground. Good play of colors right there. (I wrote this comment before I read your note). We seem to like the same.

Ok, this is good subject matter but i think you missed the bus on this one.
Think angles.
Could have been way cool with a direct overhead shot, ewspecially as it looks like this was taken middlish of the day.
