Photographer's Note

This was in San Fransisco's Chinatown. Its one of my few spontaneous people shots. I tend to shoot landscapes and architecture more than people but i turned the corner and snapped this without even looking through the viewfinder. There was a wall of cars about to obscure my view for the next few minutes and i just reacted with a quick shot.

I like it because it seems so culturally diverse to me. You have the huge American flag with a spraypainted "satan" on it and a group of ethnically diverse kids circled in front of it. Its a reminder to me that my country isnt made up of people just like me and that America really is a place for everyone.
