Photographer's Note

I took this picture when I came up the MUNI (Municipal Railway) subway at 7:30 AM. This is at the corner of Market Street and Van Ness Avenue. As I was going up the escalator, the city street slowly gets into my view. I noticed that the sun will soon come out, but the yellow street lights are still bright and even the tree in front of the escalator has the yellow glow of the lights. I am looking directly at Market Street. Van Ness Avenue is behind me. On my right is an office building. The tall building in front is the Fox Building which has offices on the lower floors and apartments on the upper floors. The low white building is a "Pension" very popular with tourist.

This is the year I bought my Nikon CoolPix 5700. This is the picture that convinced me, and made me interested in digital photography. As a beginner in digital photography being able to take a picture like this made me excited. I never looked at my film cameras again. I gave it to my nieces when I went to the Philippines that year.
