Photographer's Note
This image is the result of a little planning and some good luck. Only during the summer months does the full moon set at the right location to view it through the arch of this sea stack. In addition, this part of the California coast is notorious for coastal fog. Luckily, on this day, the fog stayed away making for excellent conditions and a great morning shoot.

poses along perfectly well managed ..

Mike: Sometimes it helps to have a little luck on your side to go along with a good plan. About the only thing I'd like to see in this photo is a little more detail in the rock, especially towards the bottom. However, it's still a great shot with just the right amount of motion blur in the surf, the top of the rock and the moon in sharp focus.
Greetings from Florida............Greg

Hi Mike
Love the placement of the moon between the rock. Nice, soft tones and good depth of field.
Cheers

Hello Mike,
Thank you for sharing a very beautiful photo. I particularly like the long exposure and the flow and movement captured. The framing of the moon through the " door" is very clever and the soft colours are lovely
Thanks
