Photographer's Note

Perhaps the largest sea cave anywhere, is Painted Cave on Santa Cruz's northwest coastline. Not named for manmade decorations, but for its colorful geology formed rocks, lichens, algae, and bird guano - providing the white highlights.
Painted Cave is a quarter mile in length with an entrance 100 feet wide and 160 feet high.
