Ventura Main Street auto show had a nice grouping of classic Corvettes. The first Chevrolet Motor Company Corvettes were produced in 1953. Since then there have been 7 body styles, with 2014 the newest design.

The new 2014 generation model has a 6.2 liter V8 engine creating 455 bhp (horsepower). The Corvette is called "the old boys' toy" because about one half of them are purchased by men over 55 years old.

Hi, Ray,
I like this automotive report from Ventura. Yes, I remember the early models of Corvettes from the car magazines and TV shows. Thanks for this interesting composition, I also have seen a lot of vintage cars here too. I hope to post more interesting pictures.

especially when they're outdoors because indoor auto shows always have such poor lighting.

and what guy doesn't love corvettes right? the perfect American Power car.

have you seen the new 2014 Stingray!! wow!

Hello Ray,

This really appealed to me as a thumbnail was even more impressive full size. The slight tilt has had an amazing effect on the sense of perspective and compositional appeal.
It reminds me of a scene from 'Cars'!

That's an expensive row of cars, and all maintained so perfectly. Beautiful examples. One thing I love about US cars is that front registration plates don't seem to be as prevalent as in Europe, and this really adds to the front view of the cars. Love the funky angle on the shot too, suits the subject perfectly.
