Photographer's Note
Yosemite's "High Country" accessed along Highway 120 - Tioga Pass Road, has more official hiking trails at 22, than the crowded Yosemite Valley. And Tuolumne Meadows is the highlight here. The Tuolumne River curves lazily through meadows like a time-lapse video of a cat on a sunny windowsill. Then it changes gears and moves swiftly and dashes over a series of cascades and waterfalls until it reaches Glen Aulin 7 miles away. At Glen Aulin are the rustic tent camp accomodations of the 'High Sierra Camp' requiring reservations.
This image is just one of the many Tuolumne River cascades along the trail, approaching Glen Aulin.
My ultimate plan was to continue on to the spectacular Waterwheel Falls, but I never made it do to lack of time. So life is full of "do overs" to try again.
Plus I have a modern digital camera now, instead of film.

hello Ray,
I can imagine what faun it must be to hike there. magnificent landscape. I was disappointed with the dry waterfalls and big crowd near El Capitan, but the landscape near Tioga Pass was fantastic. beautiful shot.

Hi Ray,
it is impossible not to enjoy your series from the Yosemite Park - the landscapes presented are not only impressive but also very unique. The colors of this one are very natural but still bright and attractive. The stream cascading down the slope adds plenty of dynamism to the scene and creates point of interest in the central part of the image. Everything has been lovely framed by the mountains on the horizon.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Ray,
A well composed and brilliant nature shot!
The part with the smooth sanded rocks and the river almost looks like a painting.
The mountain peaks are a very beautiful background.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ray,
You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the beautiful nature with the cascade with a loose level difference, straightly spreading trees and lovely mountains in back. It harmonizes well the combination of different elements under blue sky.
Kind regards,
mikio
