In the comment to my previous photo Chris has mentioned that digital photography has made especially great effect on the low light photography. Indeed, for a fan of blue hour photos, like myself, digital photography means a lot. Even though I know when the blue hour is supposed to happen, sometimes what you manage to actually record, does not work as pretty as the reality. Surprisingly few moments later or earlier it works much better. The artificial light gets better balanced with the lights of nature. When I find myself in a particularly great spot nowadays, I stay there and try several exposures trying to capture this special moment.

I remember getting to this point of view in the evening. I used public transportation at that time which was not easy. It was a chilly evening. I took few photos but because it was a pre-digital time their actual quality I could only judge few days later after returning home and developing the photos. Nowadays I would rather wait in this spot few moments longer for the sky to become a bit darker.

The picture of course presents the famous Golden Gate Bridge from the south side.
