Photographer's Note
This was one of the first pictures I took with my new camera back in January. You'll probably notice as I post more pictures that I like straight lines.
I didn't do anything with Photoshop other than resizing. As with being a photography novice, I'm also pretty inexperienced with Photoshop, especially when it comes to creating masks and stuff like that.
EDITED TO ADD: This was my first trip to San Franciso and as such was my first time seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. From far away it doesn't really seem like it's very high off the water, but when you are walking on it (or under it) you realize you are actually a good distance off the water. This particular view is from the top of Ft. Point.

Great perspective of the famous bridge, it gives a good sense of depth. Good picture, congratulations.

Hello Mary, welcome to TE! Your photo delivers a good impression of perspective and depth, as a result of the shooting angle that you chose from almost underneath the bridge - and the vertical format further emphasizes this. The vivid colors are also nice, and the contrast between the famous orange paint and the blue of the sky and bay is nice to look at. Regarding the mini-piece of land in the lower left corner, I suggest that you should either crop it out - or try to compose the photo with a bit more foreground elements. In landscape/scenic photography, including some foreground elements will often result in a more "deep" impression of the entire scene that is depicted. Nice upload, enjoy TE.
